Caviro is firmly focused on the implementation of the latest technology to develop innovative and environmentally friendly processes such as bioethanol.
Bioethanol or ethyl alcohol is a water-free product of agricultural origin and is a viable alternative to the production of energy through the use of finite, non-renewable resources. Bioethanol addresses the issue of air pollution, and is a potential source of large-scale renewable energy.
Caviro is committed to reducing the impact of its activities on the environment, and has invested in a distillation plant able to produce bioethanol at 99.9%, with the potential for an output of 180,000 litres per day from raw alcohol.
This plant is one of the largest in Italy and is fully operational.
Caviro is at the forefront of this technology in Italy, transforming agricultural products into renewable energy. Caviro has formed a strategic partnership with Ecofuel, a major oil company with a facility in Emilia-Romagna. The partnership aims to invest in the production of bioethanol intended for experimental projects aiming to improve the quality of emissions into the atmosphere caused by the combustion of non-renewable fossil fuels.
