Faenza – Caviro, the leading producer of Italian wines and pioneeering Agricultural Cooperative is present in the “CIBUSèITALIA” Federalimentare Pavilion, an area dedicated to the Italian food industry, at Expo 2015.
Throughout the event, the Caviro Group will highlight its unique traits with consumers: its heritage, expertise and technological innovations, as well as its sustainability initiatives. As part of its mission, Caviro focuses on accessing the full potential of its winemakers’ grapes by paying the utmost attention to quality whilst keeping environmental impact to a minimum.

The central theme of Expo 2015, ‘Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life’, resonates deeply with us, and this is why we have decided to share Caviro’s story.” Thanks to an innovative edutainment path, which is organized by commodity, visitors are guided along the two exhibition floors of the pavilion towards the Made in Italy food zone, and towards Caviro, the only representative of the wine industry in an area dedicated to “Italian Drinking”. An information panel, equipped with a television broadcasting the most popular TV ads, will immerse visitors into the history of the Group and its brands, with a particular focus on the Company’s commitment to sustainability.
Attention to the environment is at the heart of Caviro’s wine production process and is inherent throughout the supply chain. This starts with the use of renewable sources to produce energy from waste products. Agro industrial by-products are re-used as raw materials for some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical, food and beverage companies. Leaving behind the inner space of the pavilion, the guided path leads visitors into the hospitality area of the events terrace, where the focal point is the wine. Along with dishes prepared by The Gualtiero Marchesi Cooking Academy, visitors will be able to enjoy a selection of wines from the Caviro Group, the exclusive supplier to the lounge. With something to suit all tastes, the wines will include Cesari Soave Classico DOC, Leonardo Chianti DOCG, Romio Friuli DOC Grave Sauvignon Blanc, Romio Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Tavernello semi-sparkling Pignoletto DOC. With more than 200 events already planned throughout the six months of Expo, this elegant lounge on the top floor of the pavilion CIBUSèITALIA was conceived as an exclusive area for a professional audience.
