Tavernello

Established in 1983, Tavernello is a Tetra-Pak wine brand that has been enjoyed by Italian families for over 25 years and is very much a part of everyday life in Italy. The fourth most popular wine brand worldwide, Tavernello embodies the very best of Italian winemaking and our vibrant Italian culture. Light in style and with an alcohol content of just 11%, Tavernello wines are the ideal everyday drinking wine.

Tavernello enjoys a rich winemaking heritage combining generations of Italian tradition with modern, innovative winemaking techniques to deliver a range of good quality wines and that provide value for money.

Italy’s No.1 wine is produced at our state-of-the-art winery in Forli, located in the Emila-Romagna region of Northern Italy.

Tavernello is at the forefront of technology and innovation and was the first wine brand globally to use the patented Tetra-Pak technology. Our pioneering spirit and approach to alternative packaging for wine is driven by our passion to protect the environment, deliver a wine of guaranteed quality each and every time and provide a convenient, accessible and easily transportable Italian wine.

Why have we chosen Tetra-Pak?

Tetra-Pak s a light-weight and convenient alternative to traditional glass bottles and is 100% recyclable. Eco-friendly and sourced from sustainable resources, it takes 25 lorries to transport the same number of empty glass bottles compared to just one lorry for the same number of empty Tetra-Pak cartons.

Tetra-Pak ensures consistent quality, protecting our wine from light and oxygen, meaning that Tavernello wines taste exactly the way our winemakers intended – each and every time. Once opened, Tavernello will keep for up to a week in the fridge in perfect condition, which is great for when you just want a glass or two. Tavernello is easy to transport with no risk of breakage, so is ideal for summer picnics, outdoor events and alfresco dining.

The Tavernello range includes blends featuring key Italian grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Negroamaro and Nero d'Avola as well as Pinot Blanco and Trebbiano.
