Together we cultivate values,
from the roots up
We believe in the growth of the area and in ethical development, in the innovation that passes through the protection of the environment, the support of workers and the sustainability of decisions and processes. We are economically sustainable because our financial statements reflect solidity and allow
long-term projects. We are sustainable from a social point of view because the effects of our work have a positive effect on the entire supply chain and on the community around us.We are sustainable from an environmental point of view because our concrete circular economy model determines clear benefits for our territory. We have chosen and built a new business model: our goal is to both enhance and preserve every resource to guarantee an eco-sustainable future.
where it all comes back
Every day we work to preserve the value of natural resources. The recycling and regeneration of products and materials allow us to reduce the use of raw materials and energy at the source. Thanks to this approach, we meet the needs of today’s generations, without compromising the possibilities of those to come. More than a virtuous cycle: our model is the testimonial that unites the present and the future.

The Caviro Group
Caviro was founded in 1966 in Faenza, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna – a land with a rich identity and high wine vocation – to enhance the members’ grapes. Today, 50 years after the first contributions of grapes, the Group exports to over 70 countries and represents, with Caviro Sca, the largest winery in Italy and the number one company for wine produced in our country.
Thanks to Caviro Extra Spa, the Group is engaged in the recovery of by-products derived from the wine and agri-food chain which are transformed into biomethane and noble products for the food, pharmaceutical, and agriculture sectors. In the market, the Group is a leader in the production of alcohol in Italy and a world co-leader in the production of natural tartaric acid.
Furthermore, with the Enomondo partnership, whatever remains is transformed into renewable energy sources.
The mission of Caviro Extra is to safeguard the environment, and transform the derivatives of the Italian agro-industrial chain into products with high added value. Thanks to our technological and process innovations, we are the reference supplier of raw materials and intermediate goods for leading companies in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food & beverage sectors, the second largest producer of alcohol in Italy, and the third largest producer of natural tartaric acid in the world.
Today the value of a company is measured not only with the classic economic and financial indicators, but increasingly with the impact it generates on the territory and in the context in which it operates. Since the Group was founded, we have based our model on the synergy of processes, the well-being of consumers, the reduction of environmental impact and waste, the enhancement of human resources, attention to the social aspects, and the construction of guarantees that stand the test of time. The result of this model is contained in the first Sustainability Report of the Caviro Group: we are extremely proud to present it to you.BROWSE OUR SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

Our commitment, in summary
INNESTI (powered by CAVIRO) is an e-magazine which showcases ideas with the potential to lead us forward to an environmentally-aware future.
Inside you’ll find news about people and places, projects and research, good practice and industry trends. But INNESTI also celebrates our commitment to creating something that doesn’t yet exist.
History as a whole, in all its complexity, is made of an infinity of micro-narratives whose strength resides in their ability to elicit a sense of identification and closeness to our own stories and lives.
INNESTI examines a few of these stories, each a strand in a bigger story.
