A continuously evolving circular economy model, founded on a small thing, as small as a grape, but of inestimable value: thanks to grapes cultivated with great passion by over 11,000 winemakers, come to life our wines as expression of the Italian territory, and also noble products, renewable energy and nutrients for the earth as part of a truly virtuous cyrcle of regeneration.

Because when it comes to waste and emissions, our vision is aiming to zero, to give back to the earth as much as we have borrowed from it.

It is a true commitment that we dare to renew every single day, a commitment to people, the entire supply chain and the planet. Without ever forgetting that for us, at Caviro, when it comes to sustainability, our goal is always setting a new one.

The Caviro Group

Caviro was founded in 1966 in Faenza, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna – a land with a rich identity and high wine vocation – to enhance the members’ grapes. Today, 50 years after the first contributions of grapes, the Group exports to over 80 countries and represents, with Caviro Sca, the largest winery in Italy and the number one company for wine produced in our country.

Thanks to Caviro Extra Spa, the Group is engaged in the recovery of by-products derived from the wine and agri-food chain which are transformed into biomethane and noble products for the food, pharmaceutical, and agriculture sectors. In the market, the Group is a leader in the production of alcohol in Italy and a world co-leader in the production of natural tartaric acid.

Furthermore, with the Enomondo partnership, whatever remains is transformed into renewable energy sources.

Thanks to our technological and process innovations, we are the reference supplier of raw materials and intermediate goods for leading companies in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food & beverage sectors, the second largest producer of alcohol in Italy, and the third largest producer of natural tartaric acid in the world.
