Caviro, first in Italy by wine sector market share, closed the 2022-2023 fiscal year with a\u00a0<strong>consolidated turnover of Euro 423 million<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>euros<\/strong>, slightly up on the previous year, and with stable financial indicators (EBITDA, Euro 33.2 million; NFP, Euro 74.3 million). At the same meeting, the\u00a0<strong>Board of Directors was renewed<\/strong>, with the entry of four new directors, and the\u00a0<strong>reconfirmation, as President, of Carlo Dalmonte<\/strong>, who has been at the helm of the group since 2012.<\/p><p>\u201c<em>In thanking the Shareholders\u2019 Meeting for their trust,<\/em>\u201d commented President Carlo Dalmonte, \u201c<em>I want to underline the\u00a0<strong>important work carried out in recent years by the Board of Directors<\/strong>, and the contribution of the outgoing Directors,\u00a0<strong>Maurizio Baldisserri, Raffaele Drei, Francesco Labbrozzi and Gianfranco Ravaglia<\/strong>. We welcome the new Directors,\u00a0<strong>Giuseppe Alfino, Alberto Guerra, Alessandro Neri and Roberto Savini<\/strong>, to the group. Despite the\u00a0<strong>extraordinary events<\/strong>\u00a0experienced in the last year \u2013 referring to the fire that involved the Faenza site, and the serious flood that hit the local area \u2013\u00a0<strong>the group has achieved positive results<\/strong>, and confirmed its stability.<\/em>\u201d<\/p><p>The results of the 2022-2023 fiscal year were driven by the good performance of\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/caviroextra.it\/en\">CAVIRO EXTRA<\/a><\/strong>, the Faenza-based company that implements the group\u2019s circular economy model, and by\u00a0<strong>exports representing Euro 143 million in turnover<\/strong>\u00a0(up 16% from the previous year), of which\u00a0<strong>over Euro 103 million in the wine sector<\/strong>. The growth in exports was above all attributable to the UK market.<\/p><p>The\u00a0<strong>investments<\/strong>\u00a0made on the\u00a0<strong>sustainability front<\/strong>\u00a0and the implementation of projects linked to development contracts, in support of the\u00a0<strong>circular economy model<\/strong>, confirm\u00a0<strong>the group\u2019s propensity for innovation<\/strong>, with\u00a0<strong>technical investments<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>made in the new automatic warehouse<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0<strong>Forl\u00ec<\/strong>\u00a0winery and the start of a\u00a0<strong>post-fire refurbishment at the Faenza site<\/strong>, where Caviro Extra produces noble products, energy and fertilizers from the by-products of wine-making. Despite the extraordinary year,\u00a0<strong>Extra has reconfirmed the good performances of the last three years<\/strong>, validating the strong market interest in the products generated by Caviro\u2019s circular economy model, and\u00a0<strong>supporting the group in a complex period<\/strong>\u00a0from a macro-economic point of view.<\/p><p><em>\u201cWe need\u00a0<strong>confidence and determination to face a very complex national context<\/strong>, linked to exogenous market factors such as\u00a0<strong>inflation<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>decline in consumption and production<\/strong>, even as much as 50% in some regions of our supply chain<\/em>,\u201d added Dalmonte. \u201cT<em>he prospects are even more complex, with effects that will reverberate into the new financial year.
