The Faenza wine cooperative and the Japanese giant have in fact reached\u00a0<strong>a five year cooperation agreement, centered on shared sustainability goals.<\/strong><\/p><p>On March 9 2023 this partnership was initialed in Tokio, with the signature of Caviro President\u00a0<strong>Carlo Dalmonte\u00a0<\/strong>and Suntory Wine International President\u00a0<strong>Keiko Yoshio<\/strong>.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div><h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A sustainability agreement<\/h5><div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div><p>\u201cThe two companies have been commercially collaborating since 1995 \u2013 said Dalmonte \u2013. A solid relationship with a similar strategic vision. Caviro\u2019s circular economy model, recognized by\u00a0<strong>3E Equalitas Certification<\/strong>, starts from and comes back to the vineyard through the transformation of by-products, and it\u2019s once again worldwide recognized; for us, this represents both an honor and a responsibility\u201d.<\/p><p>\u00a0\u201cToday we\u2019re signing<strong>\u00a0a global cooperation agreement for the reduction of the environmental footprint<\/strong>, and a partnership to allow the development of a sustainable wine market in Japan and throughout the world \u2013 added President Keiko Yoshio. \u2013 Our companies will enhance communication, sharing knowledge and skills in order to develop sustainable initiatives and new products in the future.\u00a0<strong>The aim is to reduce CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0emissions by 2027<\/strong>, through the use of lighter glass bottles and even more sustainable Tetra Pak\u00ae cartons\u201d.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div><h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tavernello Organico<\/h5><div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div><p>The first step involves organic wines: \u201cItaly is one of the leading countries in the field of organic viticulture: 23,5% of the world\u2019s organic vineyards are located in Italy \u2013 noted Dalmonte \u2013.\u00a0<strong>Organic wines are increasingly requested by customers\u00a0<\/strong>and play a central role in the transition towards an more careful agriculture, with a lower use of chemicals in order to protect biodiversity.\u201d<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tavernello.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TAVERNELLO<\/a>, in its Tetra Pak \u201cOrganico\u201d version, is now certified by FSC, Bonsucro and Carbon Trust. The packaging is almost entirely realized with renewable raw materials, plant-derived cardboard and polyethylene. The cap is of vegetal origin too. Renewable raw materials, when managed responsibly, have a lower environmental impact. The Carbon Trust label certifies a smaller carbon footprint compared to the standard packaging.<\/p><p>\u00a0\u201c<strong>On March 28 we are launching 6 new sizes of the Tavernello Organico line designed for the Japanese market\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 anticipates Dalmonte \u2013. A sustainable wine that respects the environment and biodiversity at every stage of the production chain, from the crop to the packaging step.
